Art has always been greater than I am. It runs in my blood, as inheritance and as destiny. Already in my grandmother's porcelains, and in everything my eyes could reach as a child, it was there, quiet and constant, keeping me company. It guided my first creations, back in my teenage adventures in the countryside of São Paulo.
I knew it was art that would lead me. And so it did: art and I met like two planets in the same galaxy, drawn together by a force that needs no explanation. On one side, a restless artistic sense, ready to give voice to any idea. On the other, the craft of turning fabric into something beyond clothing: an identity, woven with creativity, exclusivity and quality.
It was to offer the world not only my art, but the story I carry, that Vangá was born, on International Rock Day. A generous coincidence of fate: I was born on that day too.
From the first prints, made with joy, to the brand's first major launch, I understood that my art had many voices. And that fashion could go further, offering diverse bodies the chance to express themselves with the authenticity each one carries within.
That is why Vangá is more than clothing. It is a stage for expression and freedom, a refuge for plural bodies and for women. A space nurtured by art and fed by stories of resilience, strength and secrets. A place that welcomes, that becomes home and embrace.
This eye for design has been honed over more than 15 years of craft as a fashion designer and creative director. I studied Fashion Coordination and Design at SENAC Campinas, Fashion Design at UNIP, and Image and Style Consulting at Belas Artes, and trained as a tailor at the Escola de Alfaiates do Estado de São Paulo. The precision of tailoring and the freedom of art walk together in every piece, as rigor and poetry.
My path has taken me beyond the atelier. I took part in the UN Global Compact in the textile sector, reflecting on sustainability and ethics in the fashion supply chain. Today, my studies in foreign trade broaden the horizon: I believe Brazilian authorial fashion can, and should, cross borders without losing its own identity.
Vangá is strong. Art is strong. The voices of women are strong too. Here, Vangá and the power of art come together to give voice to your unique style.
